Butterfly mat

My pink butterfly mat that comes out in flying colors only on special occasions. I have them in small and large sizes fluttering at mine and my grandma's.

Red and shades (earrings)

A few more of them. Some were custom made for friends on demand and were sold out before the idea of keeping a snap popped up.

Earrings

I was planning only crochet for this blog which justifies the blog name. But after getting strong recommendations I decided to put up the shots of my earrings as well. I am no great beader and hence my ear drops are quite simple. I just love making these.

Mesh overtop

This lavendar top is a manifestation of a Drops pattern. I made it out of my fondness for the mesh stitch more than anything else.

Granny Triangles

Simple granny triangles instead of squares for the dinner plates.

Digicam pouch

My Pink digicam had a leather case that came with it. But I am quite fastidious when it comes to pouches and purses. So, yesterday, I created a pattern for it myself after much experimentation. The colors blend well with the metallic pink exterior of the cam. I was not very happy with the button but did not have the patience to go and get a new one. However, it does not look any odd on it and the size is quite appropriate. Here it goes...

Passport Bag

I borrowed my husband's passport bag with no intention of returning it. :-) And made this for him. Luckily, he liked it mainly because he can wear it across his shoulders. It needs a waterproof lining even without which it can go around fine. It was simple and was fun to make. The buttons are a kind of bronze in color. And this definitely matches with the tote.Of course, the pattern is mine!!!

Crochet cell phone covers

I make tons of them in all sizes, colors and patterns and have a set of them for myself. Mostly all my friends have them now. They go around mostly as gifts and at times on sale on special request. There are so many more snapshots to be posted here.

Matching cap for the blanket

This is a wonderful pattern and I really enjoyed making it. Pattern courtesy christinascrochethaven.com.

Soft blue Blanket

This blanket is made in shells and then bordered with simple trebles. Its warm and cozy. I did think of fringes but then opted otherwise. The color is called country blue.

The original version is much more beautiful and available in Lion Brand site.

Simple and cute

A simple and cute purse with a rose button made with blue nylon mix yarn. The silver strands make it shiny and desirably a little coarse. I presented it to my husband's little cousin who loves blue. A big thanx to my aunt who sent me a large variety of yarn.

My Big Drawstring

This is quite big. The smaller ones are cute though. One of the patterns my aunt taught me when she taught me how to crochet. I think she wrote out the pattern from a drawstring she got as a gift from a friend in England.

Soft pink scarf

When I landed in California (from India) it was unbearably cold, windy and raining. The breeze would cut in through the collars. So I decided to make a scarf that would go with my jacket and polo.I got the basic idea from somewhere while browsing and just made it real quick by putting in a few hours for two days. And the fringes are soft and silky.

Grocery tote

The pattern evolved as the stitches progressed. I use this tote mainly for grocery shopping. The masala packets will go in nicely. Since it does not sag much I did not give a lining.

Small drawstring

The real objective behind this pattern was to keep coins from being spilt here and there. My husband has the habit of throwing the coins on to the desk once he comes home from work. And when we need coins we might not find them as they would have by then reached the dark, remotest corner of the table. So I made this quickie to collect those mischievious pennies.

The little camera pouch

I wanted a camera pouch which is not very complicated. I mean when I am caught with an emergency to pull out my little casio I do not want the button or the zip to misbehave. So here's the result. It is quite simple as you can see and did not need much of a pattern or much time to make. I usually prefer crocheted buttons than others because I can make matching ones than by the time I hunt for them.

My sweet mini tote

My little tote came from an impulsive yet highly inspired moment in my early days of crocheting. I designed it after seeing some work of an expert. It is made of wool and the plan was to felt it when I began with it. Alas! my calculations went wrong and I ended up with a mini-tote and was afraid of getting a micromini-tote if I felt it. Hence, I left it remain like that. (:-D It can very well contain my cell, purse, keys, cards etc. Looks like I need to post a better pic later.

Elegant doily

This white one is a sweetie and could be made real quick. I made a few of those in different colors in a few hours. Hats off to the pattern designer.

The second is the same thing in green with white edging.

Pineapple Doily

Again this elegant pattern is not mine. It is beautiful but a little difficult for me to make as I was a beginner then. When I completed it I was proud and happy.

Square and rectangle coasters

An alteration in shape of the heart coasters. I made four small squares and a big rectangle. This is really a classy pattern. I used nylon mixed yarn and stitches were so strong that it had begun to hurt. These are useful as hotmats more than decoration.

Heart coasters

I really cannot remember where I lifted this heart pattern from.I do not think I did any modifications to the original pattern either. I made it in three colors of green, peach and light blue with white edging. However, I enjoyed making this set of beauties for my glass-topped wooden stand in my lobby.

Coasters

These are simple and quick cup coasters I designed. They are lovely and can be made really quick.
